Meet the Staff & Join Us for Great Entertainment – October 2017

This is my favorite time of the year – sweatshirts, fireside chats, pots of soup, college football, and cinnamon candles.

In addition, autumn also means we are in full swing at the Palace. October is chock-full of opportunities to visit the Theatre. This issue of the Applause newsletter outlines those details for you.
From our youth musical, Willy Wonka, Jr. to a theatrical portrayal of the book The Kite Runner, from country artist Tracy Lawrence to Christmas at the Palace auditions, and from our school series show, How I Survived Middle School, to our Halloween costume party, Monster Mash, October is sure to offer your entire family an opportunity for entertainment at the Palace. Add November’s local production, The Drowsy Chaperone, and some rental events, and we’ll have you on December’s doorstep before you know it.

This Applause edition is a good example of the busy schedule at the Palace. As we continue to grow Palace activities and rental uses, we are also growing our staff to assure that we’re giving you the best experiences we can.

I’d like to introduce you to our two newest employees, Jodi Cooper and Heather Webb. You’ll find Jodi in the box office as she helps coordinate our customer service efforts, in addition to working alongside Marketing Manager Lisa Brammer. Jodi is taking over our Social Media efforts and helping to keep you informed of all the Palace events. Heather was hired as my administrative assistant, which means she’s responsible for filing the mountains of paper I accumulate and for helping me stay on task. You might want to wish her good luck!

In addition to our new employees, some current staff members are shaking things up a bit. Jill Rinker has served as both Volunteer and Event Coordinator for several years. Jill is electing to semi-retire and will be sharing her event duties with Kitty Rasmussen. Jill will still oversee all things related to our volunteers, while Kitty moves from my administrative assistant to handling all event related activities – both Palace and rental details.

These folks, along with the rest of the staff, do an incredible job carrying out the business of the arts here at the Palace Theatre. We’re blessed to have such a talented team of people.

We invite you to come meet the staff and join us for some great entertainment. We look forward to seeing you soon at the Palace!
