Sponsored by Dr. Al and Ingrid May

Back by popular demand – musicians from the Central Ohio Symphony will delight you with an afternoon of music by composers from the Baroque period.

The Central Ohio Symphony has the distinction of being the only orchestra in Ohio with a budget of less than $1.5 million whose performances on tour are supported by the Ohio Arts Council. It was selected to participate in the “Ford Made in America” project as one of fifty orchestras nationwide to premier a composition by renowned composer Joseph Schwantner in 2010.
Audiences are inspired by the talent and dedication of the Central Ohio Symphony’s musicians.
Over the years, the ensemble has matured from a small volunteer group to a 65-member professional ensemble.  These professional musicians come from several counties throughout Central Ohio and perform for a yearly audience of 17,000. Each has their own story of many experiences. All are accomplished performers, most have degrees in music. Some make all of their living performing. All are deeply passionate about making great music. Many have gone on to other careers from lawyers, computer programmers, and teachers to instrument builders and more. Altogether, they make up the ensemble of the Symphony and are dedicated to great performances for you to enjoy.
