We’re turning back the hands of time to celebrate the marvels of the theatre’s Mighty Wurlitzer Organ.
Audiences will experience a movie, just as theatre-goers did 91 years ago while professional organist Dave Calendine accompanies the silent film “Liberty” on the theatre’s prized 1924 Wurlitzer Organ. After the short film, patrons will hear a selection of tunes, get the opportunity for an up close and personal look at the wonderful and mysterious Mighty Wurlitzer Organ, and enjoy pizza in the Palace Pavilion. $18 includes pizza.
The 1929 comedy film, “Liberty,”stars Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. With the police hot on their trail, Stan and Ollie attempt to change clothes in their getaway car, only to find themselves struggling to balance atop the girders of an unfinished skyscraper. Will they return to ground level in one piece?
