The Palace Theatre is a non-profit enterprise, that relies on community support to keep our historic theatre in business. This September, we will be holding a charity walk-a-thon to help raise funds to support the Palace and its many projects. Each participant is asked to get their friends, family, and familiar businesses to sponsor them by collecting funds with all proceeds collected going to the Palace Theatre.

FAQs:

1. Where will the walk start? The walk starts at the May Pavilion and will travel to the Harding Memorial and back. Once participants arrive at the Harding Memorial, they will have the option to arrange to have someone pick them up instead of completing the loop back to the May Pavilion.

2. How can I participate if I’m not able to walk that distance? There will be five different teams, led by volunteers or staff, available for participants to sign up with: 

    

   Virtual Walkers – Participants who want to be a part and raise money but don’t do the walking.

   Team Turtle – Those who want a nice, leisurely walk.

   Team Slow Pokes – Those who want a leisurely walk but a little quicker pace than the Turtles.

   Team Medium Pacers – More active folks who want to keep a medium pace.

   Team Power Walkers – Even more active folks who want to get their heart rate up during the walk

3. Will there be a lunch provided? Upon return to the Pavilion, snacks, pizza, soda, and water will be available for participants. At the provided pizza lunch, we will have a prize raffle. Each walker gets one raffle ticket for participation, and an additional ticket for every $100 you raise from your sponsors. Raffle prizes will include items from the Palace and local businesses.
4. What is the entry fee? The entrance fee will be $10 per person, with an extra $15 if you want a souvenir t-shirt for the walk. We encourage participants to get sponsors, whether it be friends, families, local businesses, or corporations.
5. Will the walk be canceled if it rains? In the event of rain or other inclement weather, the walk will be moved to Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 10:00am
