Showing at the Palace at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 is the rumored 2020 Oscar contending film, “The Best of Enemies.”  Starring Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell, “The Best of Enemies” recounts the unlikely relationship between an outspoken civil rights activist and a local Ku Klux Klan leader. Based on a true story, the events take place during the racially-charged summer of 1971 as the town of Durham, North Carolina battles over the desegregation of schools.

This film is rated PG13 for thematic material, racial epithets, some violence, and a suggestive reference. The film runs 2 hours, 13 minutes. The Sunday movie will show with open captions. Movie admission prices are $4 for all ages and $2 for current 2018-2019 PCAA members presenting a valid membership card.
