Yoga with Mary Jane – Journey With Yin
Thursday, February 15 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until Thursday, March 14, 2024
Yoga with Mary Jane – Journey with Yin
In this fast-paced world, Yin arrives as an all-levels, approachable class that slows it all down, offering the opportunity to allow your mind & your body to sink in, pause, and relax, calming the nervous system and connecting the yogi/student to the subtle inner wisdom within.
Each time we gather we will explore various grounded yin poses for 3-5 minutes each with soft yet conscious awareness, bringing focus & space to the web of fascia and fluid-filled structures of the body that support our overall health and well-being.
Join me on Thursdays @ 6:00 pm for 90 minutes of slowing down, observing, resting, and recalibrating using yin as well as various breath & sound techniques to add to your personal toolbox. This may not feel like your average yoga class and can be a great complement to a long day and/or other more vigorous practices/experiences.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in, and if you have a yoga mat and/or yoga blanket/large towel to use that would be appreciated! (We have a limited supply of mats and props available for those without, as well as those curious & new to yoga! No experience required. Class will be mainly gentle floor work set to music.)
Thursdays, February 8th – March 14th 6:00pm – 7:30pm
$12 per session, per person, $60 for 6 week session
Meet the Instructor
Mary Jane Gale was born and raised among the lakes & snow of Minnesota, and has found a home in Ohio for the past 8 years with her husband & dog.
She is a 200 hr CYT (Certified Yoga Teacher) from the House of Aum in Yellow Springs under the empowered guidance of Melissa Herzog, as well as having completed a 50 hr Taoist Yin Yoga Workshop under the knowledgeable & wise teachings of Matt Eschelman at Mint Yoga in Ft. Thomas, KY.
Having met & fallen in love with yoga by luck when her gym didn’t have a Pilates class, she brings a curious open heart and the wisdom of over 15 years of personal practice to her fellow yogis. Mary Jane believes in the power and healing found in awareness & sound, guiding her students through easeful and open dialogue between each yogi and their own body to facilitate a safe and supportive experience for healing and deep connection within.
Mary Jane likes to incorporate her intuitive & growing passions for nature, sound, somatics, art, energy and play, so don’t be surprised if mantra, dancing, singing bowls and beyond make it into her class.
Every class, like every moment, is an opportunity to experience the magic of your wholeness with pure presence. Are you ready? Because I think you are, and the choice is yours.
