Director’s Chair – January 2016
Don’t you love the start of a new year? It’s a great time to look back and review where you’ve been and what you’ve accomplished, all while looking ahead with anticipation at the potential that a new year holds.
As I take a quick glance back over my shoulder to remember some highlights of 2015, I’m reminded of the incredible support we received during our Membership Campaign, our ReLight Campaign, and the shows for the first half of this season. We’ve also experienced enthusiastic support for the return of films to the big screen. If you haven’t watched a movie since the installation of the new digital equipment back in July, I hope you’ll do so soon. It is truly a whole new look and sound.
Yes, 2015 was a very good year for the Palace…and we have YOU to thank for that. We’re so grateful for your ongoing support of the mission and vision of the Palace Cultural Arts Association.
But since we don’t sit still for long around here, 2016 is unfolding before us, and we are looking forward with great anticipation toward what this year will bring. We are anxious for the completion of the ReLight the Palace Marquee project. The target for completion is March 30….stay tuned! What an exciting time that will be for this community!
In addition, the board and I are working on some great entertainment for the 16-17 season. We’ll make the announcement of that line-up this spring. In the meantime, I hope you’ll check out the great shows still ahead for the remainder of this season.
