It’s a New Year…together, let’s make it a great one! – January 2017
A new leaf. A fresh start. A clean slate. A NEW YEAR!
It’s a new calendar year, and that’s always a great time for planning ahead. It’s mid season for us here at the Palace. We hope you’ll join us for plenty of fun and great entertainment from January to June.
We have family fun with Mutts Gone Nuts!, two great bands on one big night with Firefall and Pure Prairie League, loads of laughs with funny man Jeff Allen, and a night with country hit maker Phil Vassar. And that’s just our main stage touring artists. We’ll put 41 talented local kids on stage in James and the Giant Peach and bring back a fun-filled dinner theater with The Altos. Add a variety of Fridays in the May music – Gas Pump Jockeys, Lisa Biales, and Jasey Schnaars – and some movies for good measure and we’ll wrap up our season with a bang.
This year we will also take on our next improvement project. Gratefully, we were awarded State Capital Budget monies to replace our outdated and failing geo-thermal heating and cooling system, which is what controls the climate in the Palace auditorium. We’ve struggled to keep the 10 units up and running over the past 8-10 years or so. Four of them have limped along but three are now officially “dead.” The timing for this funding could not be better. Our gratitude once again to Representative Dorothy Pelanda for championing our cause. With her help, we are receiving $100,000 toward the completion of this project. What a gift!
We enter 2017 with a spirit of gratitude and anticipation. We are thankful for the love and support of this community. We are anticipating a wonderful wrap up to our 2016-17 programming, while keeping an eye out for what we want to bring you in 2017-18.
It’s a New Year…together, let’s make it a great one!
