Audition for The Girl with the Golden Locks at the Marion Palace Theatre!

Are you ready to step into a world of espionage, fairy tales, and unforgettable characters? The Marion Palace Theatre invites young actors ages 8–16 to audition for The Girl with the Golden Locks! This thrilling and humorous spy adventure blends classic fairy tale characters with modern twists, creating a magical experience for performers and audiences alike.

Audition Details:

  • Dates: Tuesday, January 7th & Wednesday, January 8th

  • Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

  • Location: Main Stage of the Marion Palace Theatre

    (Don’t worry, you only need to attend one day!)


What to Bring:

  • Come prepared with a memorized poem or monologue to showcase your acting skills.

  • Bring your energy and excitement—this is your chance to shine!


Roles Available: This production has a fantastic array of roles that bring well-loved fairy tale characters to life in unique and creative ways. Here’s your chance to play:

  • Agent Gold: Cool, collected, and the top FBI agent. Also known as Goldilocks.

  • Agent Red: A resourceful FBI agent and Agent Gold’s trusted ally. Also known as Rose Red.

  • Agent Wolf: The undercover agent with a sarcastic edge. He’s the Big Bad Wolf with a twist.

  • Agent White: A rookie agent and Agent Red’s sister, also known as Snow White.

  • Chief Granny: The stern and serious head of the FBI. She’s tough, seasoned, and not to be underestimated.

  • Little Pig: Chief Granny’s nervous assistant, full of comic potential.

  • M: The tech wizard who creates incredible gadgets from fairy tale staples like pumpkins.

Supporting Roles Include:

  • The Three Bears: Big Papa, Momsy, and Brutus "Baby" Bear—a comedic trio with a mischievous edge.

  • The High Order of Witches: Petunia, Leeks, and Maizey, each with their own unique flair.

  • The Sneaky Seven Dwarves: A colorful group with personalities like the tough Bones, the panicky Bonkers, and the shy Sly.

  • Other Fun Characters: Jack and his nagging mother, an innocent cow caught up in chaos, a fierce Puss in Boots, and even a dancing duo—Gumble and Bumble!
