The Marion Palace Theatre invites performers of all backgrounds and skill levels to audition for the side-splitting sequel Nunsense II: The Second Coming! This is your chance to shine in a production filled with hilarity, heart, and unforgettable characters.


About the Show

Nunsense II: The Second Coming is the highly anticipated sequel to the hit musical Nunsense. The Little Sisters of Hoboken are back, presenting a variety show full of comedy, music, and unexpected mishaps. From roller-skating nuns to a country-singing sensation, the Sisters promise a performance that will have audiences roaring with laughter.

This delightful production is sponsored by the Kathleen E. O’Shea Fund at the Marion Community Foundation, ensuring a top-tier theatrical experience for everyone involved.


Audition Details

  • Date: Sunday, January 12, 2025

  • Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

  • Location: Marion Palace Theatre

What to Prepare:

  • A 60-second vocal solo. Please bring your sheet music, as an accompanist will be provided (no CDs).

  • A brief, memorized monologue to showcase your personality and acting skills.

This is a wonderful opportunity to show off your comedic timing, musical talent, and ability to bring colorful characters to life.


Meet the Cast of Characters

Whether you’re feisty, funny, or full of grace, there’s a role for everyone! Here’s a look at the characters:

  • Sister Mary Regina (Mother Superior): A spirited, spotlight-loving leader with a touch of sass.

  • Sister Mary Hubert: Second in command, competitive, and full of energy.

  • Sister Robert Anne: A tough, street-smart nun with a flair for mischief.

  • Sister Mary Paul (Sister Amnesia): Sweet and lovable, with a knack for puppetry.

  • Sister Mary Leo: A graceful novice who dreams of becoming the first ballerina nun.

These characters offer a mix of comedy, charm, and musicality, making them a joy to portray on stage.
