Get ready, Marion! The magic of Broadway is coming to the Marion Palace Theatre this weekend, and it's bringing with it some of our community's most talented stars. On Friday, September 20, 2024, at 7:30 PM, the May Pavilion will be transformed for an unforgettable evening of song, storytelling, and show-stopping performances in An Evening With Friends: Hometown Broadway!


This cabaret-style event, sponsored by the Kathleen E. O'Shea Fund at the Marion Community Foundation, is all about celebrating the vibrant talent within our local theater community. Hosted by the dynamic duo Kirk Detweiler and Kristi Wink, the night promises to bring the glitz, glamour, and energy of Broadway right here to Marion.

For one night only, audiences will experience a captivating blend of classic and contemporary Broadway hits, delivered by a talented lineup of local performers. With familiar faces like Bruce Cudd, Lynette Burris, Elizabeth Moore, Jami Rawlins, Dustin Rawlins, Steve DeWeber, Morgan Schwartz, Ryan Ratliff, John Garnes, Amanda Zucker, Vanneeda Keowmang-Goings, Carter Rawlins, Kendell Edgerton, Brody Cahill, and Miranda Werner, the evening promises an array of heartfelt solos, powerful duets, and energetic ensemble numbers that will have you singing along.


Adding to the magic is the live band, featuring the exceptional talents of Kathy Hill, Jaxon Greenawalt, Ben Zucker, Steve Patterson, and Guy Schlichting. Their music will set the tone for each performance, enhancing the atmosphere and bringing the iconic sounds of Broadway to life.
