The Palace Theatre is a non-profit enterprise, that relies on community support to keep our historic theatre in business. This September, we will be holding a charity walk-a-thon to help raise funds to support the Palace and its many projects. Each participant is asked to get their friends, family, and familiar businesses to sponsor them by collecting funds with all proceeds collected going to the Palace Theatre. Deadline to register for the walk will be 5pm Friday, September 15th, however the deadline to register AND get a t-shirt will be Friday, September 1.

• Where will the walk start?

We will meet in the May Pavilion at 10:00am on Saturday, September 16th. This year we will do a tour of downtown Marion featuring a stop at all the painted cardinals and wind our way back to the Pavilion.

• How can I participate if I’m not able to walk the distance?

For those who choose not to walk but still want to be a part may sign up as a “Virtual Walker.” You can still enjoy the lunch and be a part without doing the walk.

• Will there be a lunch provided?

Upon return to the Pavilion, snacks, pizza, soda, and water will be available for participants. At the provided pizza lunch, we will have a prize raffle. Each walker gets one raffle ticket for participation, and an additional ticket for every sponsor you sign up. Raffle prizes will include items from the Palace and local businesses.

• What is the entry fee?

The entrance fee will be $15 per person, with an extra $15 if you want a souvenir t-shirt for the walk. We encourage participants to get sponsors, whether it be friends, families, local businesses, or corporations.

• Will the walk be canceled if it rains?

In the event of rain or inclement weather, the walk will be moved to Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 10:00am.
